Get Up! Stand Up! With the People! (Poem on Micah 6:8)

What does God require of us?
God’s love poured out in abundance.
How should we respond?
Christ’s mercy given so freely.

Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!
Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!

Do we hear the wails of those made poor?
God hears them crying in their distress.
Do we see the masses which are oppressed?
Christ calls us to love mercy and reach out.

Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!
Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!

Why are the workers denied their wages?
God sees their plight and feels their pain.
Can’t we see that the system is broken?
Christ calls us to fight against injustice.

Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!
Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!

When will the marginalized stop being scapegoated?
Jesus shed His blood for them on the Cross.
What will you do to stop the hatred?
Christ call us to humble ourselves so others can rise.

Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!
Love Mercy, Act Justly, Walk Humbly
With Your God! With The People!
